In a spectacular clash at the Wankhede Stadium, Royal Challengers Bangalore delivered a commanding performance to defeat Mumbai Indians by 18 runs in one of the most exciting matches of the IPL 2026 season.

Batting first, RCB put on a batting masterclass, posting a massive total of 240/4. The innings was powered by brilliant half-centuries from Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, and Rajat Patidar. Kohli, in particular, played a composed knock, scoring 50 runs off 38 balls and registering his second fifty of the season. However, his dismissal by Hardik Pandya sparked attention as he showed visible frustration while leaving the field.
